Meet Michelle (she/her)
Michelle is a leadership coach and facilitator. She helps people increase their capability, their capacity, and find new perspectives to help navigate our increasingly complex world.
In 2022 Michelle created Torkington Kew to focus on helping people create better environments where conscientious and impactful work can take place. She supports leaders and teams in their professional development so they can practice self-awareness, operate with candor, build trust, and communicate effectively.
Michelle is a former brand, marketing, and CPG Vice President with over 15 years of experience building and growing teams. She has worked with some of Canada’s oldest and most recognized brands from across the food, beverage, and lifestyle sectors such as Purdys Chocolatier, Freybe Gourmet Foods, Granville Island Brewing, Virgin, National Film Board of Canada, Force Four Entertainment, and more.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Simon Fraser University and was recognized as a Canadian Top 30 Under 30 marketing innovator in 2014. She is a certified Growth Edge Coach, Polarity Thinking™ practitioner, and is trained in principles from the Conscious Leadership Group.
Michelle lives in the Metro Vancouver region and works with clients from across North America. She is an immigrant and the daughter of settlers from the United Kingdom and Southeast Asia. Michelle volunteers with MOASIC’s Workplace Connections program, providing mentorship for newcomers as they prepare for career success in Canada. She is an active member of the local field hockey community, enjoys spoiling her black Labrador Retriever, and travelling with her husband.
